Rev. Perry Tinklenberg
Rev. Perry Tinklenberg has been our pastor since 1991. He and his wife, Kathy, and their two children came to New Hope Church after serving 10 years as missionaries in Liberia, West Africa. Pastor Perry studied at Calvin Theological Seminary and received a Masters of Divinity degree.
Continuing his passion for missions, Pastor Perry has traveled to Russia, Ukraine and Africa to teach classes for pastors. He has served as a board member for the Christian Education Foundation of Liberia and for the International Theological Educational Ministries for countries in the former Soviet Union. Pastor Perry has also been a board member and chairman of the Board of Directors for Life Services in Spokane.
In his free time he enjoys being with his family including 3 grandchildren, fishing the area lakes, and exploring God’s creation.
Rev. James Kim
Rev. James Kim is our assistant pastor of outreach and youth ministries. He and his wife, Jenny, and their two children came to New Hope in 2012 from Alaska, after serving a church there for six years.
Pastor James began his theological education at a seminary in Korea. After immigrating, he completed a full course of study at Calvin Theological Seminary and obtained a Masters of Divinity.
He enjoys youth ministry and reaching out to the community. Pastor James and Jenny like to read and spend time at local book stores in their leisure.
